Nap time

Seth used to be the best little napper. I would put him in his crib with a bottle and shut the bedroom door and he would go to sleep. But, since the baby was born, and Seth got the boot from the crib, he has been having a hard time going down for a nap. Poor little guy. He won't just lay down in his bed and relax. He might miss the party or something more exciting that is happening. But I have found two ways to easily get him to fall asleep without any resistance. If I put him in his carseat and drive around the neighborhood a couple of times, he is out like a light. His head starts to bob and his eyes get droopy once the car starts moving. Actually, one time I buckled Seth into his seat and I had to nurse the baby before we could back out of the driveway, so Seth fell asleep in the car and we didn't even have to leave the house. It was hilarious! He will also fall asleep in the swing in the back yard. If he is exhausted, just a few pushes on the swing and he is gone. Since this boy is such a mover, I just treasure those daily naps. It gives me a break from cleaning up his messes and it makes him a lot happier. He is such a grump when he is tired. He truly looks like an angel when he is sleeping. Sleep hides the devil in him.
