Recorder Concert

Jonathan has been learning to play the recorder with the 2nd graders at his school. Mrs. Uys is the music director and she did an excellent job teaching them 6 or so songs. They learned how to read music and finger positions and all sorts of good stuff to introduce them to music. The parents were invited to a short concert during school time and it was so fun to hear the kids play. I thought they were awesome. Jonathan is really enjoying the recorder at home now. He plays the songs that he learned and is trying to memorize them. Sometimes it's a bit much, especially when he wants to bring the recorder in the car, but it is fun to see him having fun learning. Music around the home is really a wonderful sound.
