An Inconvenient Truth

I just saw the movie Al Gore made filming his slide show presentation about global warming. I am not an Al Gore fan. I think it's because he used to associate with the Clintons. But by the end of the movie, I kinda liked him a little. He had some very compelling evidence backing his claim and a lot of common sense solutions that all people could practice in their lives. It was a really good movie with a very important message and now I want to do my part in the world to help out. There was one part in his slide show that he explained how some polar bears are drowning because there is not enough ice floating for them to rest on during their long swims. Well, Jonathan about had a kniption fit because the polar bears were dying and Al Gore was mean. I explained to him that Al Gore was not mean because he was the one that was trying to help the polar bears. So now all we have to do is start changing some of our habits to reduce our CO2 emissions. Reduce, reuse, recycle, all things that we learned in a childhood song. There are other things that we can do and you can view these by going to
I highly encourage anyone and everyone to see the movie and to become aware of ways that we can take better care of this beautiful earth that we live upon.

Andrew rented this one for us a couple of months ago and it really has me thinking. I HATE the "green" lightbulbs, (they make my eyes feel like their bugging out) but maybe I'll use a few. We're turning off lights, water, trying to REDUCE - one of our biggest problems...etc. It takes effort and you don't see the fruits of your labor. So, it requires selflessness and determination. (Not my best qualities.) But, I AM working on it.
Thanks for the reminder!
